Modifying Laserfiche Metadata in Microsoft Office

You can view and modify Laserfiche metadata (fields, tags, links, versions, and digital signatures) from within a Microsoft Office application while working with a document stored in your repository. To do, simply select the Laserfiche tab on the ribbon and then click the Laserfiche Metadata button. This will open the Metadata dialog box, which you can view and work with just as you would in the Laserfiche Windows client or the Laserfiche web client. See Metadata for more information on metadata types and how to use them.

When you click OK to close the metadata dialog, your changes to the document's metadata will immediately be saved to Laserfiche.

Note: If the Laserfiche Metadata button is unavailable, your document may not yet be saved to Laserfiche. The Laserfiche Metadata button will become available when working with documents that are saved to the repository.
