Creating a New Informational Tag

Users with the Manage Tags privilege can create new informational tags in the Tags tab of the Metadata dialog box in the folder browser, or in the Tags tab of the Metadata Pane in the document viewer. This allows users to quickly create new informational tags without needing to open the Laserfiche Administration Console.

Once tags have been configured, you can assign them to documents and folders. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying Tags.

Note: Creating security tags, and modifying or deleting tag definitions for tags of any type, must be performed in the Laserfiche Administration Console. See Tags in the Laserfiche Administration Guide for more information.
